Busy week at Team Cystic Fibrosis...

What a week – Here are some of the highlights:

Mark Scoffin - Race Report 17.5.15

Alford Wheelers LVRC RR today in the windy south Lincolnshirewolds. Usually a few miles steady at the start to ease us in, not today, on it from the get go. By the end of the first lap was away in a break of 4 for the next 35km until 4 others bridged over. That was then the break that stuck. 3 jumped away with a lap and a bit to go, at which point the rest of the break decided it was too hard to keep riding, so they stayed away. Tried a cheeky attack with 3km to go but was brought back before the finish. So 5th place it was after a tough, through and off 90km

Simon Morris - Race Report 17.5.15

Positive improvement during Sunday's Steve Jones Memorial Road Race (80km) at Saighton, near Chester. Legs felt good and was able to mix it up at the front.  With 6 riders away up the road, finished in the main group narrowly avoiding a crash in the process... hope those riders involved are OK.

Thoroughly enjoyable post-race 50km pedal with me old mucker, Richard Hughes - pleasure to roll with you bud, congrats on the 6th place.

A fab day out... good to be racing again after 25 year break from the beautiful sport!

Steven Clague & Richard Smith 17.5.15

Steve & Richard took part in The Prince of Wales Hospice Charity Bike Ride, Pontefract - Cyclothon 2015  Finishing a very impressive 3rd & 5th respectively.  Well done chaps!

Kieran Farrel, Nigel Smith & Simon Hill

The lads have been raising awareness training in the French Alps.  Although I think the less said about that hot tub photo the better!

Team CF Sunday Ride 17.5.15

Great to have captain Lee Dixon back leading our Sunday ride again this week and it wasn’t long before he had to pull rank on a couple of keen beans trying to drag us over Darfield at 30mph (Martin Dainty & Dave Partridge). This week’s ride was advertised as a steady one for all abilities, that said we had 19mph avg on at Redbeck Café… No such thing as steady with our lot!  There were also a few café racers who let the side down, launching an attack with less than a mile to go to the café. (Ahem..sorry about that )

There’s always a ride from the Glasshouse every Sunday, meet 8:30am for coffee, roll at 9:00am.

Sorry If I’ve missed anyone’s story, it’s been an eventful week  If you would like your Team CF cycling story posting on the site please email to and include a photo.
