2014 65 Roses Holme Moss Classic
Following on from the success of our inaugural Cyclosportive in 2013 the 65 Roses Holme Moss Classic will return this year. Registration is now open for what we believe will be one of the best rides in the region on September 14th 2014.
The ride will begin with a mass start from the Magna Science Centre near Rotherham with road closures in place to Thorpe Hesley before heading through the rolling hills of Yorkshire, Including the iconic ascent of Holme Moss.
With 6,000 feet of climbing, it's a tough but enjoyable ride for all abilities.
However, if Holme Moss doesn’t take your fancy, there is an alternative shorter route that avoids the big climb.
There are refreshment stops and facilities en route including the now famous "Pink Toilet".
At just £25 to enter and given the success of last years event we are expecting to reach the 800 capacity quickly.
Team Cycstic Fibrosis would like to thank our sponsors, including Magna Science Adventure Centre, Planet X, Porsche and Nielsens Travel.
David Hanney, CEO of Planet X, said: “We were keen to sponsor this event from the start and continue to be impressed by the professionalism of Team Cystic Fibrosis. They organise a fantastic day of cycling in some of our most beautiful countryside, which will become ever more popular as Tour de France fever takes hold”.
The 65 Roses Holme Moss Classic starts at 9am on September 14. Registration is available through British Cycling visit the official website www.65roses-holmemossclassic.co.uk to enter.
We look forward to seeing you there!
