September 23rd 2013 was a proud day for Team CF as we hosted our inaugural sportive. The ’65 Roses Holme Moss Classic’ saw 300 riders leave the Magna Science and Adventure Centre in Rotherham to tackle the challenging route which included the iconic ascent of Holme Moss which will feature in the 2014 Tour De France. The event got its’ name as some young sufferers have difficulty pronouncing cystic fibrosis with the result that it sounds like “sixty five roses”.

At the time of writing the event had raised over £15,000 with donations and sponsorship still being received.

We would like to thank all of the 300 riders who joined us and we hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did. You can let us know your thoughts by following this link; http://www.cyclosport.org/event/22-Sep-2013/UK/65-roses-holme-moss-classic/ratings.html

Photographs of the event are available at www.turningimages.co.ukand each purchase will include a donation of £5 to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Team CF would like to give a big “Thank You” to the Magna Science and Adventure Centre, South Yorkshire Police, Rotherham Borough Council and Planet X for their invaluable support. A Group of Planet X staff tackled the event, you can read about their experiences here;http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.uk/news/events/q/date/2013/09/24/planet-x-at-the-65-roses

Next year’s ride is already booked for 14th September 2014. For further information please keep an eye on this page.
